Surveying Middle-earth is a survey of people who enjoy the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.  
Their answers are the subject of a book exploring the reasons for Tolkien's unique and enduring
popularity.



HOW TO COMPLETE THE QUESTIONNAIRE

There are four steps:

1.  Explain what it is you like about Tolkien.  You can write as much (or as little) as you want.
2.  Select the books you've read and the movies you've seen.
3.  Share some information about yourself (optional).
4.  Submit your answers.

There are no required fields.  You can skip any question you don't want to answer.

You don't have to submit any personal information.  If you give a name, I'll only use it if I quote your
answers in the book or on this website.  I'll only use your e-mail address to thank you for completing
the questionnaire, or to ask if you're interested in further participation.

After you click the Submit button a confirmation page will load stating that you've successfully sent
your answers.  If you're using a firewall or similar software, you may see an error page.  If you do,
your answers were still sent, so you don't need to take the questionnaire again.

If you want to add or change your answers, send an e-mail message with the changes you wish to
make.  As long as you use the same name or e-mail address that you included with your answers, I’ll
be able to find them and make the changes.
